![]() ![]() I've been lurking in this forum for the past couple months as I decided to purchase and then waiting on the arrival of my LS12000. You can’t even make the argument that it raises the black floor, because in Dynamic Mode it has the very best black floor and contrast of all the modes. The decision is yours whether you prefer a dimmer image with lesser contrast or a brighter one with better contrast and dynamic range. Hence you lose contrast and dynamic range. I pretty much referred every lead I got for the Northeast over to him after I moved to Hawaii.Īll lowering the laser does on these is lower the contrast because it just drops the top end. ![]() ![]() He taught a course I attended at Data Color in NJ many moons ago. I explained why but I doubt he gave it much thought after that other than to think what a clown I am, right Kris? We had Kevin Miller, co-founder of ISF, come to our showroom and the first question he asked was why we calibrated in Dynamic Mode. The old paradigm runs deep and is hard to break for old pros like them. I highly doubt Gregg or any other calibrator would even think to test a mode like Dynamic. ![]()
